LeBron James and Mike Tyson are two of the greatest athletes of all time. While LeBron has been dominating basketball for almost two decades, Tyson dominated boxing for a long time as well. Tyson and James share a good relationship but the boxing legend once dedicated a special song to the then Miami Heat superstar.
James didn’t make many fans with his decision to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Heat in 2010. He went from being loved to being the public enemy number one in Cleveland and in America, as well, for most basketball fans. While his stint in Miami was successful, some fans believe it tarnished his legacy a little bit. Tyson made sure to remind James of his failures in basketball up until that point.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel‘s show, Mike Tyson performed a song named ‘LeBron’. It was his own creation and he sang it himself as well. He started by belting out LeBron’s name loudly. Fans were already invested in the song before he actually started singing the lyrics.
“LeBron James is great. He makes Cleveland irate. He was born in Ohio, and that’s where Cleveland is. You see the irony, hehehe.” Tyson was also wearing the get-up of an old-school basketball player. ‘Iron Mike’ continued, “Oh LeBron, win a championship is all you have to do. If you stop choking at the Finals.”
Tyson then finished the song by shouting James’ name loudly and kissing a pigeon. It left everyone in the studio in splits as ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ showed his goofy side.

While it wasn’t the greatest tribute, it proved to be effective. LeBron went on to reach the Finals seven successive years after this and won three titles in that span with the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers. James established his legacy as one of the greatest and all the ‘boos’ during his first couple of years in Miami turned to applause.
James joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018 and won another championship in 2020. The 18-time NBA All-Star is still a dominating player and there are hopes, although slim, of another championship.
