LeBron James and Tom Brady continue to defy expectations. The two players have shown that players can perform at the highest level even as they enter the latter stages of their career.

Last night, Tom Brady won his seventh Super Bowl ring, establishing himself as the greatest of all time in the NFL at age 43. And LeBron James wanted to celebrate his big win.

James took to Twitter last night after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 to win the Super Bowl. Tom Brady won the Super Bowl MVP trophy for his performance. LeBron noted that Brady’s win should further cement the GOAT conversations around Tom Brady.

Brady has continued to defy expectations in the latter stages of his career. In fact, Brady has cemented a hall of fame career after he turned 36.

Since 2015, Tom Brady has won 4 of the 7 Super Bowls that have taken place. Brady even surpassed every NFL franchise for most number of Super Bowl wins in history with seven.

Similarly, LeBron James has been proving that an NBA player can find success in their late 30s. James is currently 36 and is still playing some of the best basketball of his career.

He won his fourth NBA championship last season and is currently playing at an MVP level. James continues to defy expectations of what an NBA player can do in their late 30s.

Brady and James continue to change the game

As things presently stand, the Lakers are the favorite to win the NBA championship again, and LeBron is one of the favorites to win league MVP.

If he can accomplish both, it would put him in rarified air, with five championships and five MVP titles in his pocket. It would further solidify his legacy as one of the greatest players of all time.
