James attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in his hometown Akron, Ohio. LeBron James was easily the best player in his school. Despite that, he never let basketball hamper his studies. According to his teachers, James was a very diligent student who always performed well.
“He did his homework, always. He didn’t have late assignments and he didn’t have stuff missing. That was his work ethic in basketball and it was his work ethic in school,” according to his teacher Barbara Wood.

This says a lot about LeBron James and his elite mentality. His work ethic and love for excelling everywhere have helped him achieve whatever he has in the world of basketball. According to his teachers, LeBron had no discipline issues in school. The headmaster of his school had to deal with LeBron on a discipline issue only once, and that was for making a noise in the hallway.

LeBron made his debut in 2003, as a young star trying to deliver on all the hype around his name. James was already sensational while in high school. He averaged 18 points and 6 rebounds in his freshman year. He averaged a massive 25.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 5.5 assists during his sophomore year.
“The best high school basketball player in America right now” according to Ryan Jones of the “Slam” Magazine. The Cleveland Cavaliers selected him during the 2003 draft, and he had a pretty impressive debut.

James bagged 25 points with nine assists in his first official game in the league itself, which gave us a taste of the young man’s greatness. LeBron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to their first-ever playoffs since 1998 in 2006. Although the Cavs lost the game to the Pistons, LeBron did great things and became the star he is today.
