LeBron James was a proud papa today. His son, Bronny, was on fire as he scored 28 points at the Nike Peach Jam camp. James Jr. has been performing at various camps and high school, but this time he has outshone himself. The 17-year-old player has made sure colleges notice this and pick him.
He already has offers, but this might tilt the scales. Bronny has faced harsh rebukes for his performances in the last few years but has now steadily established himself. There is a promising NBA player inside of him and LeBron can see that. He has not yet lost belief in his son’s abilities.

Today, however, he has shown that has indeed improved by leaps and bounds. A stat line of 28/3/6 is nothing to sneeze at for someone who wants to be a guard in the league. He has also made 3-point shots and hence showing further improvement in his shooting skills.

The crowd was electrified by how effective his plays were for his team. Bronny helped his team Strive For Greatness defeat Alabama Fusion on Day 1 of the event.

His work ethic probably helped, and having LeBron James as your father is an instant motivator. The latter was practicing hoops with both Bronny and Bryce the last time we saw them together.
Bronny has not been a high school star like LeBron James
Bronny’s path to success has not been instant. He was playing for Sierra Canyon High School, which is one of the top basketball schools in the country. There were several scholarship offers from colleges, but LeBron did not accept them, on behalf of his son. The offers that received the most eyeballs were from Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, and UCLA.
During his time at school, he played alongside Memphis Grizzlies’ Ziare Williams. Bronny ranked in the 20s during his high school freshman year but dropped down later due to his performances. In his junior year, it got down to 52.

As said above, he plays as a guard, unlike his father who is a forward. Scouts have noted that Bronny already had good handles with a decent shooting stroke but the bounce was a nice improvement from his past years. It looked like he would not have got drafted at the age of 18 because of those rules like his father, but those are being looked at apparently now.
