The NBA decided not to suspend LeBron James for his breach of COVID safety protocols during a recent event he attended. Before the game against the Golden State Warriors, reports emerged about Bron partying with Drake and Michael B. Jordan for the promotional event of a tequila company Bron backs. The NBA gave their remarks about the event, and how it violated the protocols.
LeBron James and Drake are good friends off the court. However, the NBA had stated rules and regulations for the players to minimize the spread of COVID.

At the promotional event, attendees had to show vaccination proof or a negative result on a COVID test but it still violated league protocols. A representative of the league spoke about the matter of James’ new mix-up and said, “It’s a violation of the agreed-upon protocols, and, as we have in other comparable instances around the league, it has been addressed with the team.”
There are instances of other players being suspended because of the breach of COVID protocols but the league has not reprimanded James.
In the meantime, the Lakers have lost their opening playoff game against the Phoenix Suns. James and co came up short against an inspired Suns team. Likewise, Bron has been suffering from ankle injuries that have derailed his plans for the season. The franchise needs him to step up to have a chance for them to advance to the next round.

Meanwhile, Drake won the Billboard’s Artist of the Decade Award for his contributions to the field of music. LeBron James gave a toast to his friend by sharing an Instagram post for the artist.
