The two played together for three years between 2014 to 2017, marked by the unlikely return of James to the Cavaliers. Nevertheless, fans continue to reminisce about their days of playing together as the duo brought the best out of one another.

Through countless speculations and turbulences, a reunion of the two superstars of the game has seemed unlikely, with Irving’s recent move to Dallas Mavericks. However, a former teammate of King James recently reignited fans’ dream of a reunion.

Tristan Thompson is keeping his hopes alive for a reunion

Tristan Thompson, who won the championship with the Cavaliers, still believes that a reunion between former teammates, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, is on the cards. The 32-year-old was recently on The Draymond Green Show where he talked about his hopes of the duo coming together. Further, the 2016 NBA champion called it “a match made in heaven.”

In the episode, Draymond Green posed the question to Thompson about the possibility of a reunion. Thompson, without wasting a second, replied, “I’ve been pushing that reuniting/coming together for so long.” Moreover, he reiterated that the pairing was “almost unstoppable” when they played together.

Despite Thompson’s assurance, it will be a blessing for fans if they get to witness their magic on the court again.

Is there a possibility for LeBron James and Kyrie Irving’s reunion?
