There is absolutely no limit to how much the LeBron James empire keeps expanding. The 4x NBA Champion might have hundreds of thousands of haters, but his fans easily surpass that count. And thanks to that, he has been able to build a legacy outside the basketball court.

After the innovation center that Nike built in his name, a tie-up with a University has come as yet another milestone. This deal promises the first school that will have all of its sports teams wear LeBron’s signature apparel.

What all will the deal include?

The Florida A&M University or FAMU is one of the topmost HBCUs in the nation. This six-year deal includes all of FAMU’s 14 teams, not leaving the marching band, that will don uniforms and sneakers all made by Nike. In fact, they have specially designed the footwear for them to stand out.

However, it is the basketball team that will be outfitted in LBJ’s signature uniforms along with his crown logo on the jerseys. Even Bron ended up reposting the first look of these on Twitter.

Now those are some really cool and stylish merchandise on the offer.

Why did Florida’s A&M University choose LeBron James?

As per the Vice President and Director of Athletics, Kortne Gosha, “AMU is an elite institution with a rich tradition of first, and our student-athletes deserve a student-athlete experience that is second to none.”

True, no one better than ‘the chosen one’ can do justice to the aforementioned tradition. As he further added, “As we transition into a new athletic conference and the opportunity to engage apparel partners, the 23-year relationship with Nike and their commitment to culture, diversity, inclusion and innovation has never been clearer.

One can’t also help but notice that Bron is continuing to follow in the footsteps of Michael Jordan. The ‘Air Jordan’ logo took its time to fly but was on college uniforms by 2016. Whereas Bron, whose partnership with Nike dates back to 2003, has come a long way to finally have the same opportunity as that of MJ.

Yes, Jordan’s logo has appeared on several university uniforms and Bron has only just begun. However, this is the perfect step in the direction for the L-train who would want to expand his business as much as possible before he retires.
