The Boston Celtics’ road trip was not perfect. However, the four wins out of the six games they played on their trip made it look like a fruitful experience. The Celtics on their way defeated the Nets, Suns, and Raptors along with pulling off a game in OT against the Lakers. In the eyes of LeBron James’ ex-teammate and NBA veteran, it was a bone of contention. Richard Jefferson recently stormed off the sets of ESPN regarding a debate over the Boston franchise.

Jefferson, who won the title playing alongside LeBron James in 2016 has now turned into an analyst who could be seen on the sets of ESPN. Lately, during an analysis session of the Lakers vs Celtics game on ESPN, the NBA legend was not impressed with the performance of the Celtics on their road trip. The sheer lack of impression raised a debate.

Regarding the Eastern Conference leaders, Jefferson stated that when he looks at the Celtics, he recognizes them as a great team. Subsequently, he added, “They are good. But if they’re going to have the highest of standards, this was a terrible road trip for them. 4-2 can be a bad road trip for a great team.”

However, ESPN analyst Zach Lowe did not happily accept this take on the Celtics. He went on to explain passionately why he thought the NBA veteran was wrong. He addressed that all the road games that the Celtics played were equally tough. And how the Green still came out with a winning record.
