The Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers were sworn enemies during the second half of the previous decade. The two teams met in the finals four times, out of which Golden State had a 3-1 commanding lead. Yet, LeBron James and the Cavaliers taking down the Warriors in 2016 is still talked about to this day. So, it was natural for Draymond Green to take a trip down memory lane with James? former teammate.
After back-to-back losses to the Golden State Warriors in the 2017 and 2018 NBA finals, a Cavalier is bound to have some bad blood with Warriors. That seems to be what was coursing through Tristan Thompson?s veins in 2018.

Shortly after the Golden State Warriors won back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018, an altercation broke out between Tristan Thompson and Draymond Green. And the fight took place in a club in Los Angeles, not on the court!
Draymond Green sat down yesterday with the 2016 NBA champion Thompson and talked about their altercation on his podcast The Draymond Green Show. As soon as Green brought it up, Thompson leaned back laughing, thinking about the time.
As Green asked about it, Thompson said, ?Listen…all that…was…in the past…You know…it?s so funny because…when we in the finals, bro…it kinda have to, because, listen…me and you are both, we’re the…glue guys, we’re the muscle for our team…? Green replied,?“Absolutely.”
?So, you know, obviously, you know, sh** happened in the past but it?s stupid…I?m like, man, we so past that, it was just…a crazy night at Delilah. F*****g Delilah, Delilah and Tequila,? added Thompson. Green echoed, “Delilah and Tequila!”?as they both laughed.
What led to the altercation?
Draymond Green and Tristan Thompson were invited to an event held by LeBron James in 2018. The altercation broke out on July 18th at a club in West Hollywood named Delilah. Sources confirmed that Draymond Green did not initiate the fight and it was Thompson who started it.

There had been bad blood between Green and Thompson since the start of their matchups in the 2018 finals. Thompson was thrown out of the first 124-114 overtime loss against the Golden State Warriors in the finals. As Thompson left the court, he exchanged some words with Green which may have been a start.
