After consistent performances for his high school, Sierra Canyon, Bronny is projected to be a top-10 Draft pick come 2024. Following some big wins for Sierra Canyon, Bronny and his teammates decided to pay tribute to the late, great Kobe Bryant during a recent win over ‘Bishop Montgomery’.
After celebrating a massive win over former state champions, Taft, Bronny and co. were in high spirits. However, attention shifted to the next game and fans couldn’t help but notice their tribute to Kobe Bryant. Furthermore, LeBron also shared pictures and clips on his social media following this game. He also posted a story that featured Sierra Canyon players along with James’ sons wearing Bryant’s ‘Grinch’ sneakers.

Did LeBron James play any part in the tribute to the Black Mamba?
This particular pair of ‘Grinch’ sneakers were worn by all Sierra Canyon players in their recent game. Considering James is the current face of Nike basketball, speculations about LeBron’s role in the decision abound. While it is unclear whether LeBron played any part in this, it was a beautiful tribute to the Black Mamba.
It was a great gesture to pay tribute to the legend in such a unique way. The ‘Kobe Protro’ line of sneakers has been a fan favorite for many years. Moreover, Kobe’s shoes continue to bring in a lot of customers and are one of the premium lines of athlete shoes for Nike.
Furthermore, LeBron and Kobe shared a great relationship. LeBron has often admitted his admiration for Bryant and he was visibly hurt after the unfortunate demise of the 5x NBA champion.

The Sierra Canyon Trailblazers beat Bishop Montgomery High School 64-47 to advance to Division I regional finals. A great team performance, led by Bronny James’ 16 points, saw the Trailblazers overpowering their rivals.

Sierra Canyon’s improved displays have a lot to do with Bronny James’ stunning performances. The 18-year-old has adapted to the role of a leader and his mentality is infectious. Sierra Canyon will play Sherman Oaks Notre Dame in the regional final Tuesday.
