The 65th edition of the Grammy Awards was held on Sunday at the Crypto. com Arena in Los Angeles. The star-studded event became a platform for renowned singer Adele to finally meet Hollywood superstar Dwayne Johnson, whom she had admired since his wrestling days. The heartening moment was organized by the host Trevor Noah, who introduced the two icons to each other in a hilarious manner, taking Adele aback a little. Notably, the Rock embracing his girlfriend drew a ‘sick’ reaction from Rich Paul, who also happens to be LeBron James’ agent.

During his monologue, Trevor Noah revealed a rare fact about Adele. Noah shared that the British singer had been keen on meeting Dwayne Johnson for a long time but it just never happened. Moreover, the renowned TV show host also revealed that the Rock was Adele’s fan too. Noah joked that he did not have anybody named ‘Dwayne Johnson’ with him but he had someone who is referred to as ‘The Rock’. The heartwarming moment between Adele and Johnson prompted a peculiar reaction from her boyfriend, Rich Paul.

The caption of a recently posted video by BroBible’s Jorge Alonso read, “Rich Paul was sick watching The Rock hugging Adele”. In the video, Johnson could be seen surprising the 16-time Grammy winner from behind. The two shared a kiss on the cheek and a hug. Adele’s excitement after witnessing the popular actor was a sight to behold. However, Rich Paul appeared to be a little awkward as an unexpected moment occurred in front of him.

Adele won the Best Solo Performance award for “Easy on Me” in this year’s Grammys. Fortunately for Adele, Johnson was there on the stage to present her with the award. After their long-awaited meeting, The Rock invited her on stage by saying, “Get up there, best friend Adele.”

Meanwhile, an emotional Adele dedicated the award to her son Angelo in her speech. She also revealed that her partner Rich Paul had asked her not to cry if she won. The 34-year-old added, “And here I am, crying.”

Back in 2021, Adele claimed in an interview that she would ‘actually cry’ if she ever got to meet Dwayne Johnson. The popular singer also revealed that she was a big wrestling fan while growing up. Moreover, she shared that The Rock had sent her flowers when he and his wife could not make an appearance on her show. Adele said, “Literally, I nearly fell off my chair!”
