Regardless of all the issues the Los Angeles Lakers are dealing with, the one shining spot they have is LeBron James. He has been having one of his best seasons this year, even at the age of 37. LeBron has been on a scoring tear all season long and he is the only consistent performer for the Lakers this year.

LeBron James is averaging 29 PPG, his highest avg in 12 years, and he has the most 30 point games by any player this season. LeBron has been leading the Lakers all season long, and he is the main reason the Lakers are even close to being competitive. Without him, the Lakers would have been out of the playoff picture by now.
Recently, LeBron spoke to reporters who were asking if he could keep up this scoring streak. Bron replied, ” Um, that’s just how the game’s being on. I don’t need to score 30 a night, but I’m in one of the best zones offensively I’ve been in, in my career and I don’t plan on stopping it.”
“That’s just how I feel, I feel fantastic. Shooting the ball extremely well from the field.” He scored 33 points in a 107-113 defeat against the Miami Heat.
LeBron James in still incredible in year 19
LeBron James is in his 19th year at 37 and he is leading the hopes of the LA Lakers. He is currently second in the league in scoring, only behind Kevin Durant. LeBron looks like the only player on the team who can get his own shot at any given point. With AD being out and Russ struggling all season long (he did have 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists against the Heat), the onus falls on the Chosen One.

Every year, it seems like LeBron finds a way to improve his game. This year, it seems to be scoring. He still is one of the best finishers at the rim and the most ferocious dunker this league has ever seen. Along with that, his post-game seems to have improved and his patented fadeaway is just unguardable. Even though he has been sporadic at times from the three-point land, he is still a major threat from there.
The Lakers will hope that he can continue his scoring touch as we approach the All-Star Break. They will be keen to improve on a disappointing record as they challenge for the title. The Lakers hope they will be able to take some load off LeBron James as Anthony Davis looks all set to return. However, LeBron looks more determined than ever to carry on this streak and help the Lakers to the promised land.
