Over the years, there have been many peculiar stories about some of Rodman’s antics. Despite being one of the most popular athletes of his time, there are still many interesting unknown stories. In recent years, the Worm’s popularity rose because of his close relationship with Kim Jong Un, the leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The Chicago Bulls legend has been making appearances on various shows, podcasts, etc in recent times and has been revealing some interesting stories about his life. A few years back, he disclosed his encounter with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Apparently, Kim Jong Un is not the only high-profile political friend of Dennis Rodman. The NBA legend once claimed he was invited by Vladimir Putin to Russia and had a great couple of days with him. Three years ago, Rodman made an appearance on the Growth Minds podcast with Sean Kim. During the sit-down, he opened up about various things including his childhood, NBA career, growth spurt, etc. In one instance of the show, when speaking about his relationship with Kim Jong Un, Rodman disclosed he spent some time with Putin. The two-time DPOY stated the Russian President was with many Russian models during a fashion show.

Rodman said, “I was with him. He had like f****ing 15, 20 fucking girls with him. Models. And Putin had this f****ing Lamborghini shipped to his f****ing hotel. This is true story guys. I go to this fashion show. God! All these girls just sitting there. Beautiful f****ing models, Russian models. God damn! It’s like you thought you was at this fucking mafia convention.”

The Worm was blown away by the whole setup of the fashion show, he thought he was at a “mafia convention”. He then noted he spent two days with Putin and he had a “blast”.

Rodman wanted to help the WNBA star

Dennis Rodman previously claimed that his relationship with Kim Jong Un and his visit to North Korea would lead to new avenues between North Korea and the U.S. Similarly, he wanted to help out Brittney Griner when she was in captivity in Russia.
