After starting the NBA season in fantastic form, ‘King James‘ was one of the favorites to win the MVP trophy. But injury derailed his MVP candidature and as he suffered from a freak high ankle sprain against the Hawks.

Scheduled to be out for almost six weeks, the Lakers were without both of their superstars for quite some time. With Bron out of the lineup, the champions dropped off to the sixth seed.

Seeing his team slipping to the sixth seed and clearly struggling, Bron made his return after missing 20 straight games. But his return was unfruitful, to say the least, as he was clearly struggling on the court and didn’t have his usual athleticism.

After playing two games, LBJ left the game with sharp pain and sat out for the next six games. The 36-year-old finally made his return for the last two games of the regular season scoring a total of 49 points in these games.

But the King might have suffered yet another setback as he landed on an opponent’s foot and tweaked his right foot. Given that he has just comeback from an injury, Laker fans were surely scared to see their talisman leave the court after the awkward fall.

Despite his latest injury scare, James has made it clear that he is ready to go blow for blow against the Dubs. In the last two games he has played in, LBJ has limited up his minutes to 27-28 minutes per game.

But given how high the stakes are against the Warriors, the 17-time All-Star might be ready to go all-in for the upcoming Lakers vs Warriors Play-in game. The Lakers know that capturing the seventh seed will be beneficial for them.

Guven how inexperienced the Phoenix Suns are, the CP3 led team can be the perfect first round matchup for the champions. Keeping all of this in mind, LeBron James most probably won’t be kept under a minutes restriction by coach Frank Vogel.
