However, according to reports, the management has sealed its stars’ future for the foreseeable future.

The Lakers are not going to trade Anthony Davis, per sources

Despite all the trade rumors surrounding All-star forward Anthony Davis, the Lakers management, per sources, are not considering any trades for him. Consequently he will not be involved in any trade packages, thus sealing his future with the team. Moreover, King James has clarified his priorities to Pelinka and team. According to reports, the 4x NBA champion has made his plans about his future with the team clear. James intends to maximize his tenure with the Lakers and does not want to wait for reinforcements until the next season.

The Lakers are in a franchise-altering dilemma. With no hopes of improvement on the current roster, the Lakers can either blow up the entire team and start a rebuild. Or, they can pursue star talents across the league, luring the teams with their first-round picks from 2027 and 2029. Both the above two schools of thought have the backing of Lakers fans.

Meanwhile, the report also dismissed the trade rumors concerning Anthony Davis. “And while it?s been a talking point on social media, the Lakers are not considering trading Davis, according to sources,” it stated. “For any dialogue of that nature to occur, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul would have received calls from interested teams inquiring if his client would agree to an extension if they traded for him.”

Those conversations have not taken place, sources say,” the report further added. Moreover, following LeBron James’ injury, the team would be looking to rely more on AD than before.
