The 2022-23 NBA season is right around the corner and the Los Angeles Lakers are far from being ready. LeBron James’ team recently took on the Minnesota Timberwolves in the preseason. Despite not having Karl Anthony-Towns and Rudy Gobert, they managed to win the game 118-113.

Last season’s scapegoat Russell Westbrook was in the news yet again. Fans and experts were not happy with Westbrook’s performance and attitude during the game.

Interestingly enough, millionaire YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul also chimed in on the Westbrook debate. He posted a clip from the third quarter which shows Westbrook ignoring a huddle call from new signing Patrick Beverley.

He wrote, “Lakers need to pull the plug and trade Russell Westbrook for their sake and for The Brodie’s sake. He’s a star and needs his own team. Lakers need less stars and more Pat Bev’s.”

This moment between Westbrook and Beverley was one of the biggest highlights of the game for Westbrook apart from his dismal performance. He finished the game with 5 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds while shooting 1-of-3 from the field.

Jake Paul is currently preparing for his big fight against Anderson Silva. This fight is scheduled to take place on October 29th and it will be Paul’s sixth professional boxing match.

The Los Angeles Lakers had a dismal 2021-22 season. They finished outside the playoff spot which triggered debates for a major reshuffle. Russell Westbrook‘s future with the franchise was in jeopardy with the Lakers rumored to be looking to trade.
