The first game of the 7 game series between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Lakers lived up to expectations. There were great duels on the court and it also was a high-scoring match. However, in the dying moments of the game, the Grizzlies suffered a major blow.
Ja Morant rose up beautifully for a bucket late into the fourth quarter. Unlike some of his iconic dunks this season, Morant failed to convert and the obstacle was Lakers’ Anthony Davis.
Morant was charged by the 2020 NBA champion and fell awkwardly. Following this play, the Grizzlies star looked in pain as he held onto his hand. Moreover, he revealed that he is feeling ‘numb’ following this ugly injury.
Days after this match, it seems his injury is not as serious as it looked initially. This piece of news was broken by Shams Charania which has taken the internet by storm. Charania said, “He underwent an X-Ray and on Sunday, he underwent further tests and evaluation. On Monday, I’m told there are no breaks or fractures in Ja Morant’s hand.”
