Former teammates, legends, and family all came together to congratulate Dwyane Wade for his historic achievement. The NBA officially announced that Wade will be inducted into the Hall of Fame as a part of an epic class. In his 16-year NBA career, Wade spent 14 seasons with the Miami Heat, bringing them their first NBA championship back in 2006. So, it was a moment to cherish as Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson joined Wade’s wife Gabrielle Union, and best friend LeBron James, among others, to congratulate the three-time NBA champion.
Dwyane Wade spent 16 glorious years in the league, playing for three teams. Wade won three NBA championships with the Miami Heat and ended up setting numerous records for the franchise along the way. At his peak, Wade was one of the best players in the league, competing head-to-head with the likes of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.

Dwyane Wade will be in the company of some of the most recognizable names in the league. Alongside Wade, players like Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki and Los Angeles Lakers legend Pau Gasol will also be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. And three members from the San Antonio Spurs family, Tony Parker, Gregg Popovich, and Becky Hammon, will be joining Wade.
It was a special moment when Wade got the call to be informed that he was going to be a 1st ballot Hall of Famer. One of the best two guards in league history, Wade was a versatile shooting guard. He was known for his explosiveness, which aptly earned him the nickname ‘Flash‘.
As active as Wade was on the offensive end of the floor, he also had the same energy on defense. Wade is second on the list for most blocks in NBA history by a guard. Listed at 6?4, Wade always played bigger than himself. He also became the first player in Marquette’s history to be inducted into the hall of fame.

As Dwyane Wade got the call to be informed about his achievement, his entire family was there for him. Wade?s son Zaire, daughter Zaya, and his wife Gabrielle Union all made sure to be a part of it.
