Standing at 13th place in the Western Conference, things did not click well between Lakers and Westbrook. Westbrook performed well in-between but could not keep up the consistency in his performances. This finally led to the franchise finally looking for other options in the recent trade window.

However, there have been reports that Los Angeles Clippers might buy out Westbrook.
