The Los Angeles Lakers have had a very disappointing season. They have not played well at a collective level. Most of their players are either struggling to perform or are injured. LeBron James has been burdened with carrying the team individually on his shoulders.

Carmelo Anthony had a good start to the season. However, he got injured and lost his touch. Anthony Davis, over the course of the season, has gotten injured multiple times. Moreover, Russell Westbrook has not adjusted to the purple and gold yet. Therefore, LeBron is under immense pressure to carry his team to the playoffs.

The Lakers vs. Clippers game was an intense one. It wasn’t only a close game; it was also a potential play-in tournament matchup. Therefore, it was very important for the Lakers to seal the win. However, the Lakers lost at the last second as they could not catch up to the Clippers.

It is easy to understand LeBron’s frustration during the game. He is 37 years old, therefore; he needs support to play. With 25.6 seconds left on the clock, a frustrated LeBron can be seen talking to Richard Jefferson after an overturned out-of-bounds call. He was quite mad because of these questionable calls by the referees. His fans went mad on Twitter to show him support.

NBA Twitter erupts 

LeBron’s fans lost it as they saw their idol break down in the game. It was the final seconds of the last quarter. That is probably the most intense period of any NBA game. LeBron James has too much pressure on his shoulders. On top of that, he is attacked by questionable calls by the refs. His fans could not believe it.

However, many fans gave it no heed. LeBron has a reputation for over-playing foul calls. Fans believe he is quite overdramatic when foul calls do not go in his favor. Therefore, many fans found it hilarious and laughed it off.

However, it is easy to relate to LeBron in this moment. The team is losing a game which could potentially give the result of the play-in tournament. James has been putting up some of his best performances this season. Sadly, the rest of the team can’t keep it. It is only natural for him to feel frustrated or break down.
