Preparing with a rejuvenated Los Angeles Lakers, James will look to take his team all the way in 2022. According to many, the powerhouse is the greatest basketball player in the history of the game. However, others rate him below some fellow icons, such as former player Kobe Bryant. What do you think?

During the course of his career, LeBron has averaged 27 points in the league. His best days were with the Cleveland Cavaliers, with whom he also won the title. Meanwhile, Kobe shone with James’ current franchise right through his career, averaging 25 points along the way. Along with this, he was widely regarded as one of the most mentally strong players in the world. But as per a recent list, he has been outdone by his 36-year-old counterpart.

When we talk about the GOAT debate, various names come to mind. Along with the duo discussed above, the likes of Stephen Curry, Michael Jordan, Kevin Durant and a few others pop up in most peoples’ lists. However, according to a recent list of ‘top 10 greatest players of the modern era’, LeBron James has been ranked the highest. He is followed by the iconic Kobe Bryant. However, fans had some confused reactions to the list. Take a look.

Many members of the Twitterati believed that the ‘Mamba’ deserved to be ranked above LeBron. The post was met with numerous “Kobe > LeBron” responses, while some just chose to rate Bryant above all else.

On the other hand, there were others who believed James’ position on the list was well justified.
