However, the show host Kimmel had no intention of letting Washington get away so easily. Jimmy Kimmel responded, ‘Basketball!” The response from the host left the Hollywood superstar and the crowd laughing. However, Kimmel’s comment prompted Denzel Washington to tell an interesting story about Michael Jordan.

The veteran actor shared that he witnessed Michael Jordan making his most iconic shot in the NBA in Madison Square Garden with popular director Spike Lee. Moreover, Denzel revealed that he went out to dinner with Jordan after the game. He also joked that he was left to work for MJ’s security due to his popularity.

Further, the 68-year-old stated, “I went out, after that game because the next game they were coming to LA to play. And I was trying to get him drunk, trying to get him off.” Kimmel remarked that the move that Washington pulled against MJ was a Lakers fans classic. However, Washington revealed, “It didn’t work.”

Kimmel asked Washington if he had bought the six-time NBA champ shots and if Jordan did drink them. Washington answered, “He acted like, he would put it to his lip and then put it back down.”
