“Lakers Are Trash”: LeBron James Gets Called “Disengaged Garbage” as LA Break Embarrassing NBA Record Suffering Poor Start

Los Angeles Lakers have had a dismal start to the 2022-23 campaign. They are 0-4 in the season and sit at the bottom of the Western Conference table. Moreover, this is the first time since his rookie season, LeBron James had a 0-4 start to the new season. This just goes on to show how poor the Lakers have been this season. LeBron is averaging 25.3 points per game this season, which is lower than his career average.

In a recent episode of ‘Skip and Shannon: UNDISPUTED’, the co-hosts called out LeBron and the Lakers for their recent struggles.

LeBron James scored 19 points and bagged 7 rebounds and 8 assists against the Denver Nuggets. He also had 8 turnovers in the game. Turnovers affected the Lakers a lot against the Nuggets and it led to them losing by an 11-point margin.

Russell Westbrook, who has often been blamed for the Lakers’ woes, didn’t feature in the game against the Nuggets. But the Lakers lost in his absence as well. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe blasted the Lakers and LeBron for their poor outing on the road in Denver.

In a recent episode of ‘Skip and Shannon: UNDISPUTED‘, the point of discussion was LeBron James and the Lakers. James turned over eight times against the Nuggets, costing the Lakers some valuable points. Shannon Sharpe called the Lakers ‘trash’, while Skip Bayless called LeBron ‘disengaged garbage’.

“The Lakers are trash, man. Ain’t nowhere around it. They bad awful,” Sharpe said.

“He’s not garbage. Your man last night was disengaged garbage,” Skip Bayless opined.

“And I don’t get it because I did tell you as the show ended yesterday. I predicted that if in fact Russ was not going to play and he did not play. I thought it was their golden opportunity, even in a tough road game at Denver, to make a statement: ‘we are so much better off without Russ’,” Bayless continued.

Russell Westbrook has long been criticized for his performances for the Lakers. However, the real problems with the Lakers were visible during his absence vs the Nuggets.

LeBron James is 37, and he is not getting any younger. The Lakers would want to build a strong roster around him to win their record 18th championship. However, looking at their present situation, that seems very far-fetched.
