Not only is the franchise underperforming on the court, but the Los Angeles Lakers front office appears to be unpredictable in their trade decisions. The front office said a few days ago that they have three different trade scenarios in mind. Furthermore, they have now reportedly set their sights on the Chicago Bulls roster, and there has been a major update on the Lakers’ secured first-round draft picks in 2027 and 2029.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers are not interested in trading their first-round selections in the 2027 and 2029 NBA drafts unless they receive an All-Star-caliber player in exchange.
However, the Lakers may reportedly look into the Chicago Bulls. One of the primary reasons is the Bulls’ standout players like Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, and DeMar DeRozan. However, for Lakers fans, this is nothing new because they seemingly get fresh trade rumors every day. This possibly indicates that there has been a lot of clutter in the front office. One of the fans believes the?”Lakers are playing a dangerous game.”

Anthony Davis’ departure from the floor seemed to have taken the Lakers’ luck with it. The Los Angeles Lakers were defeated again by the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday evening, this time by a score of 126-113. The Lakers have lost two games in a row now, both in the absence of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
The team’s performance was arguably unimpressive, as none of the players scored more than 20 points. Dennis Schr?der led the Lakers in scoring with 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in 28 minutes. Russell Westbrook commanded the game with 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists in 28 minutes. The Raptors, on the other side, displayed collaborative team efforts and eventually won. Both Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet scored 25 points each. The Lakers are now 10-14 for the season so far.
