The latest news update has Los Angeles Lakers fans in absolute denial. According to one scout in the western conference, the Phoenix Suns would be the most ideal landing spot for LeBron James. James, who will turn 38 next month recently signed a two-year contract extension with the Lakers. However, if the Lakers continue to struggle, James might want to re-evaluate his future with the team.

James may be entering the twilight of his career and he would not like to be part of a team that ends up missing the playoffs for the second straight year.

Fans think LeBron James won’t leave the Lakers

The Phoenix Suns are currently in the third spot in the western conference. With an 8-4 record, the Suns have a stable core of DeAndre Ayton, Devin Booker, and veteran point guard Chris Paul. But the Suns seem to be lacking one key piece in their roster that would help them get over the hump.

The Phoenix Suns had an almost successful title run in the 2021 NBA playoffs. But they eventually fell short in front of the Milwaukee Bucks. And their last year’s second-round exit from the playoffs wasn’t an improvement either. So, bringing LeBron James in could give the team the edge they require to make a deep playoff run. As per recent reports, the Suns are a potential landing spot for James.

Fans on the other hand were not even ready to believe that James would want to go anywhere. One fan tweeted, “Get this clickbait sh*t out my face. LeBron ain’t going nowhere.”

James hasn’t expressed any interest in leaving the Los Angeles Lakers as of now. But the team’s current record does not help secure his future. Even at 37 years of age, James is playing at an exceptionally high level. So, for James to play alongside his close friend Chris Paul, might be enticing enough for him.
