After a chaotic start to the season, the Brooklyn Nets seemed to have found their magic. However, just when things looked up, they suffered a major casualty. Notably, Kevin Durant remains out nursing an ankle injury. Likewise, all the pressure fell right onto the shoulders of Kyrie Irving. The seven-time All-Star fired on those expectations in a recent demolition of the Utah Jazz. However, despite the season-high night, Irving feels he can do more in the absence of his teammate. His newfound attitude might be scary for the Golden State Warriors and Stephen Curry who will face the Nets tonight.
Brooklyn won their first game against the Jazz since Durant’s injury. Most credit goes to Kyrie Irving who was blasting all night. After knocking down shots early, he turned things up in the fourth quarter. Notably, for the second consecutive time, the 31-year-old went off for 21 points in the final quarter. He finished the night with a season-high 48 points in the win.

After the win, he spoke about his mentality with KD recovering from his injury. And it seems he feels he can hit the 50-point mark more often than not with this opportunity. That probably won’t be good news for Stephen Curry, who might have to guard him for most of tonight.
Kyrie Irving is looking to go for 50 against Stephen Curry?
After his empowering performance against Utah, KAI spoke to the media about adjusting to life with Kevin Durant. Speaking to the New York Post, the 2016 NBA champion feels getting 50 points every night might be a realistic scenario. In addition, Irving also revealed he has found a connection with his head coach, John Vaughn.
Kyrie Irving said,? “I don?t think [50 points nightly] is an unrealistic expectation. I have the trust from [coach] Jacque [Vaughn] to be able to make plays down the stretch. ? We?ve been able to develop a dialogue that continues to grow game-to-game. So it gives me a lot of confidence in the fourth quarter to be able to perform that way.?
It took a while for Irving to find a rhythm. Notably, in the first few games without Durant, he struggled to create his own offense. However, KAI has revived back in the last two games scoring 78 points. His teammates also said he is laser-focused on the task ahead which arguably makes him the most significant threat on the court.

What does KAI have in store for the Warriors?
The last two games are proof of a dangerous Kyrie Irving. He has shifted into his gear. Brooklyn has found success running the pick-and-roll offense. Moreover, the seven-time All-Star saves his best for last, evidence being his blistering fourth-quarter performances.
For the most part of the season, the Warriors have struggled defensively. Having quick and clever defenders such as Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins might serve as an advantage. However, KAI’s teammates have been sensational so far. In particular, Nicolas Claxton is showing off his potential on either side of the floor.
