Only weeks after the off-season started, the Brooklyn Nets are already seemingly in shambles. And their number two star, Kyrie Irving’s future is all over the place. Reports keep flowing in on the KAI saga, but there was no word from the seven-time All-Star himself. That was until today, when Kyrie Irving may have sent a clue to Nets fans that may confirm his exit.
Irving’s time with Brooklyn has been haywire so far. His first season went without Kevin Durant who was dealing with an injury. When Durant finally returned and James Harden also made his entry, Irving suffered an injury in the playoffs. Moreover, in their third season together, the Boston Celtics beat the Nets in an embarrassing 4-0 sweep.

With Irving’s current side not working the magic, he may be off to find a tribe where he can win. And a LeBron James reunion has been the strongest case thus far. However, a lot depends on Russell Westbrook’s decision to opt-in. Lakers’ general manager Rob Pelinka has made clear that he would embrace the triple-double king if he opts in on his $47 million player option.
But if a Kyrie Irving-sized option does present itself, the purple and gold could send Russ away. Kyrie knows exactly how to play alongside ‘the King’. And the elite ball-handler could make life easy for Anthony Davis as well.
