Just seasons ago, the Brooklyn Nets seemed destined for greatness. However, the reality has come to the front with the recent happenings. A disbanding between the coaching staff and their stars shocked the NBA fanbase, Notably, both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving felt a disconnect with the head coach, Steve Nash. The resentment made for an off-season hell for Brooklyn.
However, with time the relationship looked to be repaired. After an extreme ultimatum, KD and Nash sat down to settle their differences. The 12-time All-Star finally ended his off-season saga by agreeing to stay with the Brooklyn Nets. On the other hand, Irving’s connection with the Los Angeles Lakers never took shape. Likewise, the All-Star guard is in for his last season with the Nets.

But just as good times seemed to shine over, the Nets might be facing their most grave problem. NBA veteran Olden Polynice spoke to Brandon Robinson about a potential rift between KAI and Nash yet again. Notably, he called their relationship unrepairable.
Kyrie Irving might have caused another problem for the Brooklyn Nets
After a tough season, Nash opened his own doors to the entire Nets roster according to Polynice. From there, the 16-year veteran claims things took a turn for the worse. What looked like an issue resolved caught a bigger fire. Polynice spoke about a reliable source telling him the inside stories about the get-together. Notably, Kyrie Irving?allegedly disrespected Nash at his own house in front of the entire team. He had a personal vendetta with Nash about his two MVP trophies. Irving reportedly told the NBA legend to give both his awards to Kobe Bryant.
Polynice said: “They are never going to get along. He kind of disrespected him at his own home. So I was like, ‘Wow.'” He continued saying, “This is somebody that would not make up a story. You can call it joking if you want, but I think he meant it when he said it.”
While Polynice’s source might have opened up a secret, no confirmation has come out just yet. Before the drama, reports suggested that it wasn’t just Kevin Durant who wanted Nash out. Moreover, even Kyrie Irving didn’t agree with the methods of his current coach. He reportedly?resents both the Phoenix Suns legend as well as Sean Marks.

Even if the event did take place, Nash and Irving are seemingly bound together for another season. Opting into his final year, the seven-time All-Star will be likely an integral part of the Brooklyn Nets. And to achieve their full potential, the partnership between Nash and KAI surely needs to be on fleek. With one of the deadliest scoring duos in his hands, the Nets’ head coach has his chance at redemption. However, the key arguably lies in gaining back the lost confidence of his superstars.
