An ESPN journalist asked him about a controversial tweet he posted a few days ago. Irving and the reporter had a small verbal spat before moving on to the next question. While the 30-year-old guard is facing backlash for his recent social media activities, controversial figure Kanye West has come to his support.

Twitter recently suspended Kanye West’s account for some of his antisemitic comments. However, the rapper is back on Twitter after serving the suspension. Many feel new Twitter owner Elon Musk had a role to play in bringing West back on the app, but the former has denied it.

Kyrie Irving has been in fine form this season on the court. However, his off-the-court activities have made him among the biggest talking points in the NBA circle. Irving has gone on to defend his controversial social media post, prompting even the Nets owner to come out and speak about the situation. Now, Kyrie seemingly has Kanye West’s support, who shared a picture of Irving on his Instagram.

Kanye West, legal name ‘Ye’, and Kyrie Irving have been heavily criticized on social media for their recent controversial actions. While Irving has not taken a stand on Kanye West’s situation, the latter has openly supported the Nets star. West shared a picture of Kyrie on his Instagram, captioning it: “There’s some real ones still here.”

This shouldn’t come out as a surprise to many, as Kanye has been known to be very outspoken and always speaks his mind. Kyrie, however, deleted his initial post earlier this Sunday.
