With the Celtics and the Golden State Warriors about to face off in the NBA Finals, it is interesting to see how both teams reached there. And when you look back, both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant played a part in how both teams shaped up.
Kevin Durant left the Golden State Warriors after winning two titles. And Kyrie Irving left the Boston Celtics after promising fans that he would stay. A lot of fans and analysts think that Durant and Irving could have made their mark on their respective teams if they had not joined the Nets.?

ESPN debated who looks worse among the two after the Celtics and the Warriors reached the Finals. Stephen A. Smith gave his opinion and said that Kyrie looks worse and it is not even close.

Stephen A. Smith said that the Warriors would?ve three-peated if it wasn?t for Durant?s injury. He said that the only thing that can be said critically about Durant is that he left the Warriors. When speaking about Kyrie, Smith said that Kyrie helped LeBron James win a title and that he is a champion. He said that Irving played great even when the Cleveland Cavaliers lost in the Finals.
He was also critical about Irving leaving the Boston Celtics after promising the fans that he was happy and he would stay. And he was not impressed with Kyrie?s record since he left LeBron James.

Stephen said, ?…And since you(Kyrie) left LeBron James, you?ve won a playoff series! And that is all you have to show for your entire career. You have won a championship with LeBron, but outside of that, you have won one playoff series in your career. That is to me, worse??
Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, and the Oklahoma City Thunder couldn?t win an NBA title together. It was one of the best teams ever in terms of young talent. And all three have become NBA MVPs over the years. Then Durant left the Thunder and joined Stephen Curry and the Warriors.?

Kevin Durant won back-to-back NBA titles with the Golden State Warriors in 2017 and 2018. He was also the Finals MVP on both occasions. In 2019, the Warriors were on the verge of doing a three-peat when they reached the Finals against the Toronto Raptors. But the Warriors lost the Finals 4-2. And Durant only played 12 games in the playoffs that year because of injury issues.
