The off-season for the 2021-22 season is finally underway. While contending teams do not have enormous cap space available, they are either looking for a sign-in trade for a or a premier free agent. One of the biggest names in the same is Kyle Lowry.
Lowry, who has been a longtime Raptors player has been one of the best point guards in the game. Be it his ability to distribute the ball or score from the mid-range or the perimeter, Lowry can do it all.
With his contract expiring this season, the 35-year-old is one of the most sought after free agents in the off-season. Given the quality the veteran guard brings in, multiple contenders are pretty serious in signing the Raptor’s main man.

Kyle Lowry sets his salary demands this off-season
Lowry is certainly one of the most wanted players in the off-season. Given the lack of premier playmakers like Lowry in the league, the 35-year-old is a blockbuster addition to any team.
While many teams might not consider the veteran guard a star player, Lowry certainly knows his value. According to a latest report, Lowry is expecting an offer of $90 million for a period of three years.

This is certainly a big sum of money and will be a big blow for contenders like the Lakers. The Lakers who have a vacant point guard position in the off-season, have been linked with the likes of Lowry and his former teammate DeMar DeRozan.
But with two superstars like LeBron James and Anthony Davis in their side, the Lakers only have a handful of players under contract and given the limited budget they have available this summer, giving a hefty contract like the one Lowry is demanding might not be a risk worth taking.

If these latest reports turn out to be true, the Lakers might be in for a tumultuous off-season. While they are also being linked to the likes of Russell Westbrook, Lowry is arguably the perfect fit with his playmaking and also adds much-needed three-point shooting.
But there are concerns surrounding the veteran who has missed time due to injuries. Will the Lakers be willing to go all-in for Lowry in the off-season? Let us know in the comments section down below.
