Months have gone by, but there is still no news of Ben Simmons’ return. The 76ers guard has been on the lookout for a new franchise ever since the end of last season, but with no positive outcome. After a shocking new update, however, even Wizards star Kyle Kuzma was left in a state of disbelief.

Last year, Ben Simmons looked like a shadow of himself. Poor form, minor injuries and lack of trust within the management saw his numbers take a huge toll. As a result, he lost the faith of the franchise, and was a bench-warmer for a large part. The 25-year-old witnessed his worst campaign in terms of average points and hasn’t featured ever since the culmination of the 2020-21 season. But is there a new destination calling?

Since the ignition of trade rumors, several setups, including the Lakers and Warriors, had been linked with Simmons. However, none of the rumors sparked into something meaningful. This means that Joel Embiid and co. continue to go about their business, while the former All-Defensive Team member watches from home. According to a fresh report, however, another sensation has been added to Simmons’ name as a package deal.

This is none other than 29-year-old Tobias Harris. The forward, who averages a little under 20 points this year, seems to be on his way out of Philadelphia too. And as per trusted reporter Marc J. Spears, both Simmons and Harris could be sent out on a package deal. Meanwhile, former Lakers player Kyle Kuzma couldn’t believe what he read. In response to the report, he hilariously commented on social media, “How the hell you package 80ms.”

Ben Simmons’ latest update certainly left Kuzma in splits. Will it evolve into something worthwhile? Only time will tell. Rest assured, fans are waiting to see Simmons back on court. Hopefully, we are not too far from that golden day.
