There is no doubt in the fact that Michael Jordan was truly gifted from the get-go. Many players work on their skills to become all-time greats while some are arguably already gifted with skills as they come into the league. Michael Jordan belonged to the latter half but that did not stop him from working on his skillset day in and day out. A former Wizards center?s story on Michael Jordan?s work ethic has been gaining traction on social media, with fans drawing comparisons to Lakers legend, Kobe Bryant.?

Michael Jordan spent the majority of his career with the Chicago Bulls. Although, there came a time after MJ?s second retirement when he donned a new jersey to play for the Washington Wizards.

Brendan Haywood played in the NBA for 14 seasons for four different teams. He won one NBA championship with the Dallas Mavericks in the twilight years of his career. Though he spent the majority of his career with the Wizards, while also getting the opportunity to play alongside Michael Jordan.

Haywood shared a story back in 2020 about Michael Jordan?s unreal work ethic. He said, ?MJ would be there at 8 am even when practice didn?t start until 11 am. That work ethic was insane. One time, the veterans didn?t have to be there that day. So I asked him why he was there. He said: ‘The better question is why did I beat you here??

MJ?s work ethic was something to behold, even after achieving so much in the league. However, fans decided to draw comparisons to MJ?s work ethic to the late Los Angeles Lakers icon, Kobe Bryant.

Michael Jordan was undoubtedly past his prime when he played for the Washington Wizards. However, Jordan notably did not consider his time with the Wizards as a bust or a failure.?
