Kobe Bryant?s Wife Vanessa Reacts as 7?1″ Lakers Legend Welcomes New Member Into His Family

In a world with several couple goals and relationship goals, the bond between Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol is actual goals. Their relationship was of a strong brotherhood that transcends culture and country. The teammates forged a solid bond. Even after Kobe’s sudden demise, the Bryants still consider Gasol their family.

Los Angeles Lakers legend Pau Gasol revealed a major life update on Wednesday. He shared on his social media that he and his wife are “beyond happy” to welcome their son and second child to the world. Kobe’s wife, Vanessa Bryant reacted to the message on her Instagram story and wrote, “Welcome Baby Boy!”. She also congratulated the parents too.

Gasol’s first child, his daughter, was named after Gianna Bryant. He also made Vanessa her godmother. This kind of brotherhood was explained by the late NBA champion himself.

In Gasol’s book, ‘Life-Vida’, Kobe Bryant wrote a forward titled, ‘If I could choose my brother’. Kobe wrote about the great qualities that Pau Gasol was famous for hard work and composure. He also emphasized that their bond was “fortified by a trust only brothers share”.

Their friendship began in 2008 when the 7’1″ Pau Gasol was traded to the Lakers from the Memphis Grizzlies.

Gasol stayed with the Lakers and Kobe till 2014, winning two NBA championships along the way in 2009 and 2010.

When Kobe Bryant?tragically passed away, Gasol revealed that he couldn’t stop crying and didn’t leave the house. He extended his support to Vanessa. “At the end of the day, that’s what I consider us to be, family“.

Kobe had once revealed that without the six-time All-Star by his side, he wouldn’t have won his last two championship titles. Gasol played for the league for almost two decades and averaged 17 PPG, 9.2 RPG, and 3.2 APG over his career.

Kobe Bryant further commented that both their jerseys would one day hang side by side at the Staples Center.
