NBA fans often laud Kobe Bryant for devoting his full 20-year career to the Los Angeles Lakers. The former NBA superstar remained at the heart of much of the franchise’s successes. Kobe Bryant tragically passed away in a helicopter crash, along with his daughter Gianna, in January 2020. His wife Vanessa Bryant and three daughters survive him. Vanessa Bryant currently owns Kobe Bryant LLC as revealed by Josh Gerben, a trademark attorney.
Gerben recently disclosed that the Vanessa Bryant led Kobe Bryant LLC, had filed for 4 new trademarks. These trademarks include MAMBA VINO 2024, MAMBA VINO 24, MAMBA VINO 8, and MAMBA VINO.

The trademark filings by the company hint at the introduction of the MAMBA VINO-branded wine in stores soon. Kobe had once revealed his passions for “the relationship between basketball, watchmaking, and wine.” The trademark names contain another one of Kobe’s nicknames, ‘Vino’.
Kobe used the ‘Vino’ nickname to refer to his game, which was aging like fine wine. Two of the other trademark names also include two of his legendary jersey numbers – 8 and 24 – which were retired by the Lakers post-Kobe’s retirement.

Kobe Bryant and his diverse business ventures
Kobe Bryant did not limit his influence to just the sphere of basketball. He also spread his wings in the business world and in entrepreneurship. Kobe initially founded Kobe Inc. to own and develop sports industry brands. He forayed into the media industry, establishing a production company called Granity Studios in 2013.
The two time NBA Finals MVP later started Bryant-Stibel, a venture capital firm in 2016 with $100 million in funding. This was to invest in various markets, like media, data, gaming, and technology. The Lakers legend also launched Mamba Sports Academy in 2018. Kobe Bryant left a legacy of NBA achievements coupled with prosperity in the business world.
