His 20 year long NBA career witnessed him juggle his playing career and fatherhood duties. He once commented about having daughters but no sons.

Bryant once disclosed that his friends bantered around the fact that he had three daughters but no sons. He revealed these details in an interview with Extra’s Terri Seymour while speaking about his third child. Referring to his daughters as princesses, he explained his reply to his friends’ teasing.

He said, “Well, it’s pretty cool for me ’cause it’s Daddy’s little princesses. Guys keep teasing me. My friends say, ‘It takes a real man to make a boy.’ I’m like, ‘Dude, it takes a king to make a princess… get in line.’ “

Kobe Bryant fathered four daughters with his wife, Vanessa Bryant. In January 2003, the couple welcomed their first daughter, Natalia, into the world. He named his fourth daughter Capri, born in June 2019.

in January 2020, Bryant and his daughter, Gianna passed away after a helicopter accident. The ‘Black Mamba’ received many tributes dedicated to his legacy from all over the world. The five-time NBA champion remains an idol for aspiring basketball players.

Kobe Bryant on coaching his daughter’s basketball team

Bryant’s daughter witnessed the unique opportunity of receiving personalized coaching by an NBA legend i.e. himself. On the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ show, he acknowledged that his daughter’s basketball team received coaching training from him. He spoke to Kimmel about how he reprimanded his daughters if they lost their games.
