Kobe Bryant spent millions of dollars on a gift for Vanessa when he confessed to being unfaithful to her back in 2003. He wanted to apologize for what he did back then through the gift. According to the New York Post, People Magazine, Bryant bought his wife Vanessa a $4 million diamond ring that contains eight carats of purple diamonds. 

“They looked very happy together,” said the man who made the ring for Bryant to give to his wife, as reported in People magazine. “When they left, Kobe and Vanessa were holding hands.”

A jewelry boutique in Santa Monica was where the couple went to pick up the ring. Raffi designed the ring, the same person who created their wedding ring in 2001.

During this incident, Bryant called himself out for what he did as adultery. He released a powerful statement, “I didn’t force her to do anything against her will. I’m innocent.” Then he continued: “I sit here in front of you guys, furious at myself, disgusted at myself for making the mistake of adultery. And I love my wife with all my heart.”

Vanessa Bryant, Kobe Bryant’s wife, stood by him during his difficult times

Bryant and his wife certainly went through a rough patch. The Mamba’s image was put forth for public scrutiny and he had to address several allegations on a public forum. However, through it all, Vanessa Bryant stood by his side and helped combat several allegations.

In a press conference at Staples Center in Los Angeles, he explained his innocence and he got emotional while talking about his marriage. As a tear fell from Bryant’s eyes, he said, “You’re my backbone. You’re a blessing. You’re a piece of my heart. You’re the air I breathe. And you’re the strongest person I know, and I’m so sorry for having to put you through this and having to put our family through this.”

As he continued, he said, “I’m innocent. And together my wife and I and our family, we’re going to fight these false accusations.” [h/t people.com]

While Vanessa stood by Bryant, she spoke about how much she trusted him, acknowledging that he did make the mistake of being an adulterer. After the incident, Vanessa stood by his side and supported him and she continues to remain his biggest ambassador after his untimely passing.
