The greatest of all time debate is seemingly a perpetual one. Many icons of the NBA also engage in a variety of discourse, discussing their picks on interviews and podcasts. 4x NBA champion, Shaquille O’Neal, recently expressed his disagreement, reacting to a top 10 all-time list. Previously, the big man had refused to place Michael Jordan ahead of a Houston Rockets legend on national TV.

After retirement from the league, Shaq emerged as one of the prominent analysts of the game alongside Charles Barkley. The duo has become a much-famed staple, courtesy of their verbal sparring. Additionally, Shaq, the big man with the big takes, often engages with fans on social media about the league.

Shaquille O’Neal calls a spade, a spade. For instance, he posted a picture of a faceoff between players from yesteryear and modern game on his Instagram and asked for his fans’ opinions. Similarly, he took to Twitter and shared a picture of a list of the top 10 players of all time and expressed his disappointment.

He tweeted, “Y’all agree with this? I DON’T.. KOBE #9 and me #10??? Hell to the nawwww.”  The reason behind the disagreement, however, wasn’t clear as Big Diesel only expressed his anger at the rankings of him and Kobe Bryant

Shaq doesn’t stop with the legends of the game. He has also taken several digs at current NBA stars like Ja Morant and Donovan Mitchell. In the case of the Cavs star, he made a brutal opinion on Mitchell during a live interaction with the star himself on national TV. Dr. Shaq said, “You are one of my favorite players, but you don’t have what it takes to get to the next level.”

However, Spida took the comment to his chin and ensured that he would get better in the coming years. On the other hand, a few years back, Shaq picked the Rockets legend Hakeem Olajuwon over his Airness and revealed his reasons for picking the Rockets icon.

Two years ago, the Inside Guys had a comparison debate over the Dubs star Klay Thompson and DeMarcus Cousins. In order to settle the debate, Shaq took a controversial route on national television. He said, “Michael Jordan is not better than Hakeem Olajuwon.”

After making the controversial statement, he went on to explain it. He reasoned that the comparison between both players was invalid as they play in different positions for their franchises. Importantly, he settled the Thompson-Cousins debate with the same analogy.
