The Milwaukee Bucks pocketed their 19th win of the season against the Minnesota Timberwolves while dominating almost the entire game. For a while, it seemed like the Bucks had lost their momentum, losing several games in a row. However, even without their starting point guard, Jrue Holiday, they look like they are back on track. Keeping the game aside, the highlight of the day came after the final buzzer. There was a moment of brotherhood between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Karl-Anthony Towns that won our hearts.
Giannis shows his support for Karl’s loss
Both these bright young superstars of the NBA have some unfortunate life experiences in common. While Karl-Anthony Towns‘ mother died last year in April because of the Coronavirus, Giannis Antetokounmpo also lost his father to a heart attack back in 2017. In fact, KAT even revealed that he has lost seven members of his family to COVID-19.

So after the Bucks’ 139-112 victory over Minnesota, in the post-game interview, Giannis wanted to show his support for his friend.
“I kinda know how much he hurts. And how hard it is to lose somebody you love and then you gotta go and still do your job,” Giannis stated.
“I had to go up to him and kind of speak with him. Tell him a few words to represent his mom in the best way and told him I am sorry about his loss. I kinda know much he hurts. I know how hard it is to lose somebody you love, and then you gotta go and still do your job. It’s extremely hard. I told him I love him, stay healthy and I’ll see you soon.”
Karl Anthony Towns is grateful
Towns even responded to the love Giannis showed him and emphasized on the bond they have built. He said, “Giannis is a friend of mine. I appreciate him and the way he has reached out to me during my time. We really built a friendship there. So, I am really appreciative of him. The amount of care he’s put into me and my family.”

The game between the two stars was close in the beginning, with the Bucks scraping forward by 2 points. However, by the second quarter, they had turned it up a notch, making the score 41-26 at half time, and there was no turning back after.
Giannis finished the night with 37 points,8 rebounds, and 8 assists. And Karl recorded 26 points, 11 assists, and 8 rebounds. The two aren’t scheduled to meet each other on the court until April. But it’s unlikely that the position for the Timberwolves will change in any way till then.
