Countless prolific shooters have played in the NBA since its inception, but only 32 players were able to drop 60+ points in a game. NBA legend, Wilt Chamberlain tops the list of most 60+ point games, followed by Kobe Bryant and Damian Lillard. Speaking of dropping 60+ points in a game, Lillard was recently asked a tough question regarding scoring in the league. The Portland Trail Blazers superstar chose himself and Stephen Curry over Klay Thompson for a particular reason.
Lillard, Curry, and Thompson have all dropped 60 or more points at least once in their lifetime. They all are outstanding players who can shoot from anywhere on the court. However, despite being one of best the shooters in the league, Big Smokey didn’t get a place in Lillard’s book.

Lillard recently joined Dan Patrick on his show, Dan Patrick Show, and talked about a plethora of fascinating things. The seven-time All-Star was asked who he thought would score 90 points next. Lillard understandably took his own name along with Stephen Curry. After Lillard’s answer, Patrick uttered the names of players like Devin Booker and Klay Thompson, who once scored 70 and 60 points, respectively. The noted radio talk show host seemingly wanted to ask what it would take for the aforementioned players and Lillard to score 90 points.
The seven-time All-Star responded by saying, “I think they are capable of doing it. You know Book[Devon Booker] – I think Klay[Thompson] would have a harder time because Klay doesn’t get to the free throw line.”?The 72-year-old host agreed with him and said one needs to shoot at least 20 free throws to score 90 points.
The Portland Trail Blazers guard further stated, “You’re gonna need to shoot a significant amount and I just don’t think he[Klay] shoots enough free throws. He could make a lot of threes…But if you think about it, you can make 20 threes and you are still 30 points away.”

The 32-year-old finished by saying a player needs to get to the line and the rim regularly to actually score so many points. Therefore, as the five-time All-Star doesn’t do these things on the floor, Dame picked himself, Curry, and Booker over him.
Lillard uttered a few words on him being shut down by the Trail Blazers
Lillard has been dealing with calf injuries for some time and as a result of this, the Trail Blazers decided to shut their cornerstone player down for the rest of the season.
