The Golden State Warriors warmed up without their leader Stephen Curry on the court. They rushed through their drills as fans gathered to watch the defending champions take on the Oklahoma City Thunder. An air of doubt lingered as the NBA world wondered if the Warriors could win without Curry. However, at the end of the first half, this doubt disappeared. Klay Thompson had risen to the call of duty and led the Warriors packs in the absence of his Splash Brother. The Warriors beat the Thunders by 27 points while the Chase Center erupted in applause as Thompson re-wrote history tonight.

Klay Thompson was locked in from the get-go. In the first half, he bagged 27 points and finished the game with a season-high 42-point performance. He dribbled with command, shot quickly, and danced around the court smoothly. The five-time NBA All-Star made 12 three-point shots out of the 16 he attempted. It was simple – no one could stop Killer Klay tonight. Following his performance, the NBA twitter handle posted that?”only 2 players in NBA history have hit 12+ three-pointers in a game multiple times”;?these players were the Splash Brothers, Klay, and Curry. With this as the cheery on top, Dubnation celebrated their hero of the night, Klay Thompson.?
