Unlike the past two seasons, everything seems to be falling into place for the Golden State Warriors. After injury woes benched one of their superstars, Klay Thompson, their roster wasn’t all that dangerous on paper. But with Jordan Poole providing the much-needed boost, and Stephen Curry leading the way, could it get any better than this? Turns out, it can.

Another brilliant update on Klay making his return has gotten everyone’s attention.

When is Klay Thompson returning, finally?

The Golden State Warriors just defeated the Chicago Bulls in an intense match in which Stephen Curry came up with a 40-point performance. Other than Curry, the Dubs have been relying on Poole’s expertise on the court. He was given the responsibility to take over Klay’s spot in the starting line-up until the star gets back. And it’s safe to say, the 22-YO is doing complete justice to it.

But it seems like Thompson’s return is approaching sooner than expected. Just recently, Adrian Wojnarowski broke the internet when he announced that the guard is likely to appear before the Christmas Day games. However, a more definite timeline for his return has increased the excitement of the fans.

As per Jordan Schultz, “Klay Thompson is making steady progress and is 5-6 weeks away from his long-anticipated return. I’m told Klay is in great shape and close to playing 5s, which is paramount to him being cleared.”

Can the Golden State Warriors become more dominant than ever?

Initially, Poole’s addition into the starting five was a contingency plan. However, everyone can see it turning into something more permanent, even when Klay returns. The combination of Draymond Green, Steph, Klay, and Poole could be deadly.

If the Dubs are able to continue like this until Thompson’s return, he will have lesser pressure to push himself to play. Perhaps the Warriors will have much lesser trouble easing his way into games, instead of rushing him and risking more damage.

This news is definitely music to Dubs fans’ ears. The Warriors are playing the Phoenix Suns on Christmas, but all eyes will be on Thompson.
