Every game counts for the Golden State Warriors right now. Otherwise, they will miss out on the postseason once again this year. After seeing the Warriors make a legacy, it isn’t easy to see them struggle through the Western Conference standings. However, injuries are a part and parcel of the game, and Klay Thompson has been been a victim of it since 2019 now.

This is just another season in which one of the Splash brothers is missing from the lineup. But there has been some good news on the injury front for Thompson and the Dubs fans.

The Dubs superstar has been on his long road to recovery since he tore his ACL during the 2019 NBA Finals. Since then, hehas been inches closer to a return this season before once again falling to his injuries.

Although there is no set timeline yet, Anthony Slater has come bearing some good news about his recovery.

Slater posted, “The next stage in Klay Thompson’s rehab is running. Steve Kerr said he’s on pace to be able to do that within the next couple weeks.

Being cleared for running is a huge step towards his recovery because the 31-year-old excels in covering the court without the ball. Although it might be months before he can get back to full on-court activities, this is a promising sign.

Kerr would want to ease Thompson’s return so that when he does get back, it’s for good. There is no doubt that Klay’s contributions on and off the court are being missed. But the wait will be worth it, if their sharpshooter comes back without any more complications

Can the Warriors make it without Klay?

The Dubs have been on a roller-coaster ride this season. Struggling to find some consistency as a whole, only their superstar Stephen Curry is showcasing his MVP caliber every game.

There were speculations that Steph won’t be able to lead the way without Thompson, but he has been nothing but brilliant this season.

No matter what setback, the Warriors have held on tight and are standing 10th in the West. Their best shot right now is to ensure they at least get their chance in the play-in tournament. Only then can one think about their situation in the playoffs.

However, what’s certain is that the Warriors may have proven they can survive without Klay, they still haven’t proven they can be alive. How much further do you see the Warriors going?
