It’s an NBA tradition for the Champions to make a courtesy visit to the White House and meet the President of the United States. The Defending Champions Golden State Warriors made their visit to the presidential palace on Tuesday night to celebrate their 2021-22 championship. While the Dubs were honored in the White House, one of the Splash brothers, Klay Thompson faced a slight humiliation in front of the nation during President Joe Biden’s speech.

In the last few years, the Warriors have been built around the likes of three stars namely Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. The splash brothers led the team’s offense last season as Curry scored 1630 points with an average of 25.5 points per game. While Thompson scored 652 points, averaging 20.4 points in 34 games. It is very unlikely to miss out on these three stars while crediting the Dubs for their championship victory. But that’s exactly what happened at their recent visit to the President’s abode.

During the President’s speech at the White House, President Joe Biden credited the Warriors’ performance in clinching the championship title. While mentioning the big three names of the Dubs teams, President Biden completely forgot Klay Thompson’s name, after naming Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.

When he accredited how the Warriors reimagined the team around the three stars, he quickly credited Steph and Green but stopped there cluelessly. He even turned back to the players for help. Fans had predicted a mess up in Joe Biden’s speech ever since the Dubs’ visit was announced. However, nobody anticipated that Klay Thompson would be caught in the crossfires.
