After two seasons of absence, Klay Thompson returned to the court. Playing alongside Steph Curry and Draymond Green once again, the fans and team had high hopes for a title. However, injuries continue to plague the team, affecting their performance heading into the playoffs.

Klay Thompson, however, continues to have faith in his team.
Klay Thompson continues to believe in the Warriors
As the season continues, Thompson recently appeared on Serge Ibaka’s “How hungry are you?”.
Ibaka and Thompson ended up discussing multiple topics. Naturally, the Milwaukee Bucks forward asked Thompson about their titles, and not winning without Kevin Durant.
That being said, the Warriors’ inability to win without Durant has been in debate for a long time. However, one has to take in the back-to-back injuries and roster changes. The team struggled to perform on multiple occasions, especially with Curry and Thompson, both sidelined for months.
Draymond Green, though available, was injured for crucial stretches.
“Luckily for us, I think, you know we still have the core of a championship team from the past,” Thompson said, naming himself, Curry, and Green. They did win a lot of games together and have earned their place as a reliable trio.
“I’m never going to doubt us”.?
Durant signed with the Brooklyn Nets in 2019, teaming up with Kyrie Irving. He was with the team for three seasons, making it a successful run overall. Though the team did win two titles (2017, 2018) with KD on the roster, their first title was in 2015. As per Thompson, they can win again with the same core in mind.
Furthermore, the 32-year-old is excited to play more with Andrew Wiggins and the younger talent on the team. The Splash Brother believes they can rely on their team, which he likes a lot. “We got everything we need. We got wings, we got bigs and we got the best shooter of all time ? one of the best point guards of all time, so, I think we’ll be great”.?

Starting out at the top of their form when the season began, the team is visibly struggling without Curry. Though the team is attempting to step up, they are currently on a losing streak. Thompson, on his end, is currently averaging 18.9 points per game.

However, Curry remains optimistic about his return. Coach Steve Kerr has also spoken about Curry working towards his return, which is heading in a good direction. If all goes well, the two-time NBA MVP might be back as the playoffs begin.
