Quickly gaining prominence, Sha’Carri Richardson has been in the news almost constantly. Not always good, the controversial figure has gained a cult-like following. While her on-track numbers are remarkable, her off-the-field exploits have left a lot to be desired. As she amasses a bigger name, many hope that her exploits are more like her latest example.
A video has been going around of her running the track that has garnered national attention, even by the likes of Shaquille O’Neal. While Richardson’s image has taken a bit of a hit, the reclamation project is in full effect. Recently, the sprinter made waves with her incredible track speed.

As the video went viral, fans could see exactly what Sha’Carri is all about. As visible, Carri recorded a 10.57 sec time, a pace that would have comfortably won her Silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Shaquille O’Neal, an avid social media presence, was quick to share a video about the same, endorsing Richardson in the process.

With 2024 right around the corner, Sha’Carri will no doubt look to make her mark at the event. Unfortunately, Richardson tested positive for marijuana weeks before the 2020 Olympic Games and had to miss the event as a result due to the subsequent ban.

Earlier, while on a flight, Richardson got into a confrontation with a flight attendant. In a video that she was filming from her seat, Richardson claimed that the attendant asked her to end a phone call.
However, the altercation continued as she detailed, “I told him I didn’t like the tone he used with me. After that, while he was standing in front of me doing security protocols, he continued to lean over to look at my phone. He asked to see that my phone was in airplane mode at the moment.”

In the video, Richardson can be heard saying, “I’m filming myself, but you were in my video. You’re harassing me right now, so I think you should stop.” With the situation getting more tense by the moment, Sha’Carri even confronted other passengers. Eventually, the sprinter was escorted off the flight.
