So far, the Los Angeles Lakers have got nothing going according to their plans. The team has a losing record of 23-26 this season, placed in the 13th spot in the Western Conference. If that weren’t enough, injuries have been nagging the team to the extent that even LeBron James has finally chosen to send out a cryptic outburst on his social media. But does that mean that James is finally considering leaving Los Angeles or is this one of his new ways to get the Lakers’ front office to meet his demands?

The Los Angeles Lakers recently decided to finally pull the trigger on shaking up their roster. The Lakers brought Rui Hachimura from the Washington Wizards in return for Kendrick Nunn and three second-round picks. However, fans are still not very hopeful of the LA side’s chances this season. Meanwhile, King James has further accentuated the buzz and murmurs with his tweet.

Recently, James sent out a tweet that read, “WE ARE OUR OWN WORSE ENEMY!!!” Now one can only speculate that James is talking about the current situation of the team, which led to fans giving out their own theories and opinions. One fan tweeted, “Keyword is WE. As a team, the team needs to understand that. Not one person but the whole team needs to play in unity!”

Who really is to blame?

There is no doubt that the Los Angeles Lakers are nowhere near to what everyone had expected them to be. It is not only the injury to Anthony Davis that has kept the team from going on a winning streak.

The team’s roster is certainly not ideal to compete in a tough Western Conference. And while many have blamed the Lakers’ front office for not surrounding James with better players, it was reportedly LeBron himself who had urged the front office to trade away the team’s young assets in order to become an instant contender.
