The Boston Celtics are one of the best teams in the league currently and it is thanks to one person, Jayson Tatum. The 24-year-old has been phenomenal this season and the Celtics are looking comfortable for a playoff spot thanks to his contribution.

While talking about the Celtics, a Celtics legend himself talked about Tatum. According to Kevin Garnett, Tatum needs to have an attitude like Russell Westbrook.

Kevin Garnett talks about Jayson Tatum

Garnett is undoubtedly one of the best players for the Boston Celtics and this time he is talking about one of the best players in the league. Being only 24 years of age, Tatum still has a long way in front of him.

Talking on a podcast with Kendrick Perkins, Garnett talked about Tatum. He said, “?I thought he [Jayson Tatum] was a smooth player. I thought he was more KD, a more finesse guy. He aint no f*ck you, he ain’t Westbrook energy.?

Garnett adds, “He comes up real smooth and finesse and you know change the speed and have some handling got to step back and you know, just he got a package like God did. You know, when you are Wes, I’m seeing more of him too. He coming out of his shell.”

 

Having played against Russell Westbrook 11 times during his time in the NBA, Garnett knows all about Russ. Westbrook holds the upper hand over Garnett with 7 wins over him.

How has Tatum been this season?

The Boston Celtics are one of the most consistent teams this season. They have been performing well all season and are looking comfortable for a playoff spot.

Led by Jayson Tatum, the team is performing well with each passing game. Tatum averages 26.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game this season.

The Celtics are currently 5th in the Eastern Conference and are fresh off a victory against the Detroit Pistons. Tatum as usual was brilliant as he led the scoring with 31 points. Jaylen Brown had his fair share of points with 22 to give a 114-103 win over the Detroit Pistons.
