James Harden took over the trade deadline. In a blockbuster trade, the Beard went to the Philadelphia 76ers. The Brooklyn Nets received Ben Simmons, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond instead. Following the trade, the All-Star draft also came up with Kevin Durant and LeBron James making their choices. Unsurprisingly, Durant didn’t pick Harden and Charles Barkley supported his move.

He was with Durant all along who chose Rudy Gobert over the Beard and even roasted Harden for his health.

There were rumors throughout the trade deadline that a Harden trade may be in the making. While the Nets had a high asking price at first, it seems they took a bargain and made the deal happen. With the Beard being unhappy, he decided to go to Philly with Joel Embiid and Daryl Morey. And it seems Kevin Durant is not happy with the recent move.

With the All-Star draft going on, Durant and James were picking their reserves. With the last two picks remaining, the Beard and reigning DPOY Gobert were the only ones left. And in a classic move, KD decided to choose Gobert over his former teammate and also put up a valid explanation. James proceeded to ask if Harden was going to play due to his injury. This is when Charles Barkley came in with a hilarious response that even had Durant laughing.

He said: “He got traded, he’s healthy now. Hey LeBron, seriously right now he’s rubbing some ice on that thing, he’s playing the next game.”

Barkley has always been funny, and he put up his twist on this situation as well. This comes with the fact that Harden missed the last four games for the Nets with a hamstring injury. However, now that he is with his new team. Barkley believes he was only holding off playing for this reason. Hence, we may see him in action with the Sixers next game.
