NBA star Kevin Durant has come a long way from his early days in Washington D.C. His mother had to struggle a lot to provide him with food but now, he arguably has an abundance of everything. It is all due to him being one of the modern greats of the game. His mother, Wanda had told him that it’s okay to enjoy his hard-earned money and he did, by buying an expensive mansion in the Hidden Hills in southern California. The property is about 10,000 square feet of living space and has 1.8 acres of land. This house, which is situated in a private gated community, is worth $15.6 million.

Before this, when he was playing for the Golden State Warriors, he had an extravagant mansion in Oakland. It had seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The 9000-square-foot house came with floor-to-ceiling windows, an in-home theater, a curved staircase, a circular driveway, and a private basketball half-court. When he sold it, he listed the house at a whopping $6 million.

Presently, KD lives in a snazzy Manhattan apartment overlooking High Line Park. He has a four-year $194 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets which includes $189 million guaranteed and an annual salary of $48.5 million. In 2022-23, he will earn a base salary of almost $43 million while getting a cap hit of $44.2 million. But, now he has given a trade request to Brooklyn during the off-season.

Brooklyn Nets wants “the bag” for Kevin Durant

The Brooklyn Nets are expecting a “goodie bag” from other teams in exchange for Kevin Durant. Arguably no team can do a trade with them singularly. The Nets want an All-Star player and a slew of draft picks, first-round picks, and pick swaps according to ESPN journalist Adrian Wojnarowski.

They are reportedly not willing to drop the asking price for anyone. Durant apparently favors the Phoenix Suns or the Miami Heat, but they too need some other teams to have a “fair” exchange. The Rudy Gobert trade possibly came at the wrong time for any executive in the front office wanting Durant. The price has gone up enormously and the Nets are not shy from running with this team again next season.

The Brooklyn Nets are also looking for a trade deal with Kyrie Irving but that wouldn’t be possible without a Durant deal. Will they find the right deal? Or will they run again with the same team? Only time can tell as things remain fluid for now.
